DexIQ AI Maturity Model

The journey to AI maturity. We guide organisations step by step, from first introduction to full AI integration in daily operations.

Level 1

Insight and perspective

Starting situation: AI is still a vague concept within the organisation. It's clear that it's important, but what it can concretely mean for the organisation remains unclear.

Our guidance: We organise awareness sessions for management. Without technical jargon, we make clear what (Gen)AI is, what impact it has on the sector and what strategic choices can be made. We help formulate a realistic AI vision and establish governance frameworks that align with GDPR and the AI Act.

Achieved results: Management has a clear vision of AI opportunities and risks. There is commitment to the AI journey and a concrete action plan for the next phase.

  • Strategic AI vision formulated
  • Governance and compliance frameworks determined
  • Management commitment obtained

Level 2

Active learning and experimentation

Starting situation: The strategy is in place, but the team doesn't yet know how AI can be practically deployed in daily work. There is enthusiasm, but also uncertainty.

Our guidance: We train employees in prompting, AI tools and building CustomGPTs. Important: learning by doing. During training, real use cases from their own work practice are worked on. We guide experimentation with AI Agents and identifying concrete applications. This builds both skills and confidence.

Achieved results: The team is AI-fluent and actively applies AI in daily work. Concrete use cases have been identified that are ready for implementation. Enthusiasm has been converted into tangible results.

  • Team masters AI tools and prompting techniques
  • Multiple concrete use cases developed
  • First measurable time savings and quality improvements
Level 3

Operational integration

Starting situation: There are successful experiments, but AI applications still run separately from daily business processes. The organisation wants to move from ad-hoc use to structural implementation.

Our guidance: We advise on platform choice and infrastructure that fits the organisation. Together we build Proof of Concepts and convert them into Pilot Projects. We integrate AI into existing systems and workflows, for example by linking AI Agents to ERP, CRM or other business-critical systems. We ensure that the first MVPs become operational and complete with monitoring and governance.

Achieved results: AI is now a reliable part of operations. There are working solutions in production that deliver daily value. There is a governance structure that ensures quality and safety.

  • MVPs successfully implemented in business processes
  • AI agents linked to business systems
  • Governance structure operational
  • Monitoring and quality control set up

Level 4

Scaling and rollout

Starting situation: It has been proven that AI works in a limited scope. The organisation wants to extend successes to other departments, processes and even outside the organisation.

Our guidance: We help scale AI solutions across multiple departments and business units. We standardise successful patterns so implementation runs efficiently. We also guide innovation of products and services with AI and facilitate collaboration with customers and suppliers. The internal team increasingly takes the lead. We act as sparring partner and expert for more complex issues.

Achieved results: AI solutions are widely rolled out and deliver measurable ROI in multiple areas. The organisation has a standardised approach for AI implementation. AI is not only used internally, but also deployed for product innovation and external collaboration.

  • AI rolled out across multiple departments and processes
  • AI-driven product and service innovations launched
  • Demonstrable ROI and efficiency gains
  • AI collaboration with external parties
Level 5

Mature AI organisation

Starting situation: AI is widely implemented, but the organisation wants it to become a permanent part of the organisation's DNA. Technology changes rapidly and there is the ambition to stay ahead.

Our guidance: In this phase, our role shifts. We help establish an independent AI culture where continuous improvement is central. We share the latest developments, facilitate knowledge exchange and advise on complex strategic AI issues. The team is independent, but we remain available as trusted advisor for innovation and optimisation.

Achieved results: AI is fully embedded in the organisation culture and operations. The team innovates independently, monitors performance proactively and stays ahead in AI developments. The organisation is not only a user of AI, but an active part of the AI evolution in the sector.

  • AI fully embedded in organisation culture
  • Continuous innovation and optimisation of AI applications
  • Proactively keeping up with new AI developments
  • Sector leadership in AI adoption and innovation
